patrick was amazing to work with while looking to buy our first home, and throughout the buying process once we found it. he was incredibly responsive, always answering my MANY questions within a few hours. while looking for properties he had an excellent eye for things that would be problems in the future, and despite my sometimes-emotional desire to jump at properties i thought i loved, he was steady and measured in his recommendations which helped us avoid the duds! once we went under contract on our dream-home, which happened to be a foreclosure, his expertise really shone through; he went above and beyond to help the process go smoothly and we almost certainly closed much earlier than we would have if not for his abundant experience. i should mention all of this happened during the first couple months of the covid pandemic! in short, patrick is a true professional, and it was a pleasure to have him as our agent.

I cannot sing Pat's praises enough. Out of the 2 or 3 realtors that we spoke to before meeting Pat, it was no question who we wanted to work with when we first met. Pat was immediately easy to talk to, and it took no time to realize he has a heart of gold. He is kind and empathetic, but incredibly knowledgeable and a straight shooter. You will not find a more honest realtor in Colorado, without a doubt. 

To start, our budget fluctuated more than the stock market: we changed the plan several times based on what we thought was best in the moment. Each time, Pat rolled with the new plan, and patiently advised of us what we could do. He saw us as actual people and empathized with our needs, instead of trying to get us in a home as quick as possible. 

On top of that, his expert knowledge made the process so much easier for us! Pat is a native to the area, and his expertise of different neighborhoods and market values made the home buying process much smoother. He would inspect things as best as he could while we did walkthroughs, and advise us of what we may have to handle if we did end up buying (e.g. replace flooring, water damage, old appliances, quality of roofing, HOA involvement, etc.). He would ask questions to ensure that we were thinking of everything before we decided on a home. But he also taught us so much: advising us how to research homes and different areas in order to understand more about a property, and giving us the tools to do so. 

One realtor we met with before Pat had a habit of 'talking up' a home, despite us all having working eyes. Pat never did that. He is a straight shooter, and will stay true in the most respectful and honest way. His advice and knowledge were invaluable to us. I will say again: you will not find a more honest realtor. 

I will confess that with Pat, we saw maybe 60+ homes before we found the one we wanted to buy (mostly due to that fluctuating budget, but a lot of it was my pickiness). I cannot imagine many or any other realtors expressing patience and understanding in the way that Pat did while he spent weekend after weekend with us looking at 6-10 homes. We weren't his only clients - he could have told us to narrow down the list so it was more manageable, but he always went above and beyond for us. 

It was truly an honor working with Pat and I consider myself incredibly lucky to have found him for my first home. Not only did he teach me so much about the home-buying process, but he also taught me how to keep up with my home in the years to come. He made an incredibly difficult situation for me much more manageable through his constant efforts, his genuine kindness, and his stellar advice. Where to begin! Patrick has been the most helpful person when it came to buying my first home. My wife and I were first-time homebuyers in the competitive and aggressive Denver housing market, and frankly, we knew very little about what factors to consider when buying our first home. We're also both Denver transplants, so we did not have the benefit of growing up here, getting to know the city and its various suburbs. We knew we would need someone who knew all the things we didn't, and more, to be our agent. We interviewed several candidates, but each of them seemed to bring little more to the table than access to the MLS and the ability to show houses. Then we met with Patrick Murray. Patrick's knowledge of Denver and the outlying areas was astounding; he really made us feel confident that we would find a house in a neighborhood that fit us well. Moreover, he knew what to seek out and what to avoid in a potential house. We were sure after meeting with him that we'd found our guy. We weren't wrong! Patrick brings all that knowledge and experience to the table to be a real advocate for his clients. He would flag properties we liked on the MLS and he would (usually that same day) provide us with comments on the property and his overall impressions on whether or not it was a good buy. He probably saved us from a lot of properties that looked lovely on the outside but had issues that could have caused us major headaches down the line. For example, we looked at one house that was very nice, but Patrick noticed when we were in the basement that there were signs the foundation had shifted and been repaired. Heaven forbid that we had someone else as our Agent who simply showed us the house; Patrick advised us on it. He is also extremely responsive, always getting back to us in a day or less. Most importantly, however, he is personable, professional, and an all-around good guy. I can tell you without a doubt that if Patrick is your agent, you're in great hands. We won't ever consider anyone else if we need to buy or sell a house in Denver. Do yourself a favor and call him!
